Make Different Cards with the Same GORGEOUS Paper!

Aloha guys! Cely here with my first August post! The DT is showing you The Robin's Nest's awesome Glitter  Swirl Paper this month!

I took a different approach to my video and I show you how versatile this paper is.  You can create cards for so many different occasions with this luxurious paper! Enjoy!

I used these Robin's Nest products in my projects:

You can visit me at my blog at

Safari in Kenya Mini

One of our favorite weeks in Africa, was a week spent in Kenya at the Masai Mara.

This is the most wonderful place to go on Safari/
Not only do you really see the creations of God,
but you get to experience life in such a calm and peaceful way.

You are spoiled to the hilt, with hot chocolate delivered to your Safari Tent
at 6:30 in the morning before your first safari adventure of the day/
You then travel  in  an open Landrover for 2-3 hours in the
early morning, stopping to see any animal in the bush.
Back for an outdoor breakfast, close to the river below filled with
Hippos honking, and immersed in the green and brown water
below you.
I have to say, while we where there, I wanted to stay forever.
Peaceful. Calm, and as close to nature and God's
creatures as you can get.

We are sponsoring the Animal Prints and ideas this month.
Here are just a few of my ideas with
these fabulous products!

This is such a cute page
that represents time on a Safari.
It can be for a fishing vest too.
I cut the vest by drawing it on the paper and cutting it out, the sides
fold out, so you can journal inside the vest.
I then cut pockets and distressed the edges with ink to give the pockets
a dimensional look.
This was placed on Glitter Palm Tree CS
Then I added stickers from the Safari Sticker.

I also created a mini about our Safari.

This is the cover of my mini.
This mini is larger than normal mini's. I cut it 9x9 because I wanted to be able
to see things bigger and have more space.

Products used on Cover of mini:
Glitter Leopard CS
Glitter Palm Tree (back side)
Safari Sticker
Dew drops
Glitter Cowboy Rope
and other things from my scrapbook supplies

Fabulous Animal Prints and Gina's Design

Hi, Bev here today with my 2nd Design Team post with the amazing Robin's Nest
and I had a great time this month sharing creations using
Robin's Nest Animal Prints and Gina Design Accents.
Who would have believed that the layout below could be so elegant and rich using animal prints.

Supply List:
Ace of Diamonds Dew Drops
Dew Drops Solid Color
Gina's Design:  Cardstock Doiley Set Intricates
Miniatures Shape Set - Ladies Choice
Punches: Martha Stewart
Other: Kraft Paper, twine, Punchinella, washi tape, letters and stickers and
an ink rolled accent.

In the close ups you can see the punched border, fun washi tape borders, the twine tied
around the mat  and the amazing stone accented doilies.
I made the smaller punched border to be a shelf like piece with stones to
display the Gina Designs shapes.

On this doily i added stones on the outer edge and double popped a
punched butterfly. You can also view the washi tape, punchinella accent
and the fun ink rolled on accent.

Hexagons, Octagons.. they are all so popular right now so on the card I used both sides
of the paper and mixed the colours ans sizes of the the shapes.
I added a doodled outline also... and mask painted yet some more shapes.
I love fussy cutting so 1 large flat elephant and 2 popped up fussy cut elephants and
a SRM sentiment make a cute card.

We'll this was my 2nd post this month  and
I have to say that I had more fun than I thought I could with Animal Prints.
Thanks for stopping by .. and hope to see you again soon.

Sweet things

Hello there everyone! Veronika here to share with you my first post for  The Robin's Nest and my first video tutorial.
Thank you Robin's Nest for making me part of your team - I am so happy))) and I really enjoy working with your amazing products!

For my favourite layout I used a photo of perfect creation - butterfly)))))). I made this photo in Botanical garden in Yalta, which is in the South of Ukraine,  a few years ago. On this day my husband and me  have visited a small butterfly garden, where we could not only see but even touch beautiful butterflies.

Animal Print with a Vintage Twist

Hi everyone!!! It's me, Tonya!!! I'm back this month to share a Rolodex holder with cards that I created using some awesome Animal Print cardstock that is 20% off over at the Robin's Nest.  Also this month we have teamed up with Gina's Designs to showcase some of their wonderful products too.
I love to alter Rolodex cards and belong to a few groups over on Swap-bot that are solely dedicated to altering these little works of art. I have a collection of this cards but no holder to put them in. I didn't want the typical holder that you buy out at an office supply place. I wanted to create one but didn't know how or what I would use. After much thought and one failed attempt this is what I came up with.

Party like a "Rock-Star" snazzy eyeglasses!

Hi Everyone, Michelle here to show you that Dew and Diamond drops can also be used for party accessories! I have been busy at home prepping for my son's 9th Birthday party this weekend.  It's a Super Mario themed party with face painting, a D.J., games, crafts and a photo wall!
For the photo accessories, I wanted to turn some ordinary party store glasses into something really wild. So I 'popped' out the frames.....
....and jazzed them up with some Robins Nest fun! For the glasses on the top, I covered the entire felt with tombo glue and added red and white (Maple leaf) diamonds. Then I placed the glasses on a paper plate, and sprinkled fine glitter over them, covering all the other glue exposed areas. When dry, I brushed off the excess glitter with a soft paintbrush.
From The Robins Nest, I used the following....
Metallic Gold dew drops
Metallic Pink dew drops
Flame dew drops
Maple Leaf diamond dew drops
Obsidian diamond dew drops

I'm really happy with how these came out and am sure the kids will love wearing them in-front of the photo wall!

A Wild and Glittery Day to You!

Hi! It's Ro, here again to share with you a glittery little ditty.  I can't help but smile when I look at all the fabulous glittery animal print cardstock from The Robin's Nest.  These glittery papers just put a twinkle in my eye (pun intended).  And for the entire month of July, you can get 20% off any of the Animal Prints!

As I pulled out all the glittery goodness in my stash, my eye was drawn to the hot pink leopard print.  Of course, I didn't see leopard.  I saw giraffe!  Ever since I was a little girl (just a few years ago, lol), I have always had a love for giraffes.  They just have the absolute sweetest faces.  Here is the card I designed:

Hello Chattering Robin's Readers!

I thought I would share a simple layout with you this week.

This layout is just fun and simple.

Every day I make sure that there is sometime in the day that I tell him

Sometimes, I will say, "did I tell you I loved you yet?"
and on some days it is way more than once.

So this page celebrates
that I really mean it when I say
I Love You!

Products used:
Glitter lip CS
Black Journaling tag
Silver Glitter Fleur
Roses CS
Silver Mini Dew Drops
Black Cardstock
Glitter Black Heart cut from Glitter Black Chipboard

Fairy Fun Cross Promo

It has been fun to pair up the intricate, laser cut designs from Gina's Designs

The bold Pink Glitter Zebra print is a fun backdrop for this cut chipboard.
A few dew drops add a bit of added color and whimsy.
The Black Glitter on Brown Zebra cardstock makes a glitzy mat for the pink too!

I stamped this Paper Make Stamps sentiment on vellum so you see the fun pink still!

How much fun to spy here?

This card is in the shape of a hinged card.  I used Lovebug Creations "Queen Taylor" pink rumple ribbon along with Timeless Twine in pink to top off this fun shaped card.
The laser cut medallion from Gina's Designs adds such fun.

How do you adhere it?
Well, I found that Micro Glue Dots ®  work great!
No liquid glue to mar or wrinkle your lovely medallion!

Be sure to check out the Gina's Design store for the vast selections of shapes and images!

Thanks for visiting us today!

Hi, Bev here today. This is my first Design Team post with the amazing Robin's Nest

It is really amazing once you get going as to what you can do with these prints .. and
I didn't even use it for any animal  or nature layout pages. Hope you like some of my examples
and are inspired to use these fun prints to make your pages too.

I had lots of fun with the challenge of all these layers on this layout.  Some embellishments were on top of others at the same time as being underneath other embellishments.  It’s like putting together a puzzle, for instance, the chevrons on the right.  They are on top of the tags but under the photo.

The shipping tags are exact replicas of the same ones you get at staples, but I used Robin’s Nest fun Blue Glitter Elephant paper for the tags and the Red Lion cardstock for the hole enforcers.  To help the tags ‘pop’ a bit, I sanded the edges.  Due to the fact that the cardstock has a white core, sanding the edges gave a slight white edge.

I alternated chevron shapes made out of Chocolate GlitteredLeopard Cardstock and Red Lion Cardstock.  With the Red Lion cardstock, I used both sides making use of the different sides of each piece of cardstock.
For the swirl, I hand drew a simple swirl, traced the swirl with Liquid Glass liquid adhesive and added Pearl Dew Drops to the glued line.  I simply added Jade Diamond Shaped Dew Drops to the bottom of the elephant tag, then placed a Pearl Dew Drop in between each Jade Diamond Dew Drop.

I don’t play with my Cameo Silhouette much so when I do, I’m amazed at the simplest things.  I made the title ‘friends’ from the Chocolate Glittered Leopard Cardstock and used the backside of it so it would stand out more.
Again, using my Cameo Silhouette, I created the Moroccan background pattern with the Red Lion cardstock.
Gina’s Designs, in this case, the Cardstock Doily Set Intricates always makes the layout feel complete and beautiful.

I’m so happy you stopped by to take a look!  Oh, and by the way...all the papers I used in this layout are on sale this month!  So be sure to stop by The Robin's Nest and stock up now!  This sale only goes until the end of this month.

Until next time….
~Robin Redd
