Hello girls!
Hope all are well and happy!!
We're in the middle of the year, the time is passing so fast it scares me.
This year conseguiv take a few days holiday with my husband and we went to the northeast of Brazil and the beaches there are wonderful.
So I have some new photos to scrap.
This collection of papers from The Robin's Nest is very beautiful, full of glitter in your details and allowed me to create this layout with the beach theme.
Hope you enjoy!
Have a beautiful day!!

Because of the Brave

Hello hello, Tara here!  Excited to share with you all once again today.  I have been looking forward to sharing this craft, seeing how my dear sweet husband is currently deployed in Afghanistan, serving our country.  Happy to report he is doing very well and we have just passed the halfway mark!!

For my project today I took an old frame that has just been kicking around my house and gave it a new look.  I used rubber stamps for the letters and embossed them in white.  I love love love dew drops and enjoyed making this American flag with them.  I embellished the frame with rub-ons to give it a little flair.

I am thrilled to put this on display in our home, not only for the fast approaching month of July, but also as a reminder to our family as to what daddy is doing while we are all apart!  Hope this post finds you all doing well!

Happy Crafting,

Barbara Rankin
My name is Barbara Rankin, and I am thrilled to be a part of The Robin's Nest Design Team for a third term. I have been a crafter since early childhood... always making things.  After pursuing many different artistic endeavors, such as sewing, needlework, and Pergamano (embossing on parchment), I found my way into rubber stamping and graduated into becoming a self-taught, mixed-media artist.  I have taught classes at my local scrapbook store, as well as teaching the members of my local stamp club.  I have also been a guest instructor at another out-of-state stamp club on several occasions.  I love making cards, tags, ATCs (Artist Trading Cards), as well as making and altering books and mini albums.  My style is usually vintage or shabby chic, with a sprinkling of steampunk whenever possible.  I am also currently a design team member for Sin City Stamps and Creative Paperclay®.  I have been published in Altered Arts Magazine, as well as in a book "Make it in Minutes: Mini Books".  I was also recently published in the Just Steampunk Volume II magazine.  I have a wonderful, supportive husband of thirty years, and we share our home with our two cute little Yorkie fur babies, Chloe and Zoe.

Dawn Mercedes Barrett is a designer who enjoys juggling a number of activities.  Whether it is creating a card or object for home decor, whipping up a batch of fresh cookies for kids that drift through the house, or learning to enjoy the rigors of strengthening her body through running, she is your go-to crafter for help, ideas, and encouragement.  Who says you (or your style) have to grow old and moldy?  Dawn's up beat style and silly comments will keep you smiling and chuckling.  See more via her blog:  Sunnyside Up...or her Facebook page, of the same name.

Ro Donner
Hello, my name is Ro Donner and I am an addict.  Yes, I am addicted to paper, my Silhouette Cameo, Cricut, rubber stamping and all things crafty.

I am a married mom of three grown children, four furry kids, and three grandpuppies. And a happy "Gammy" to Kaileigh Jo who turned 3 in April, and Koralee Rose who was born in October last year.  And since my oldest son will be getting married next year, I will also get to be gramma to two boys, Zachary and Christian.

My small craft room is where I practice my "addictions".  It's where I have my "therapy".  And it's where I go to hide from the world and immerse myself in the pleasantries of crafting.

I have had several cards published in Stamp and Scrap Arts Magazine and Just Cards Magazine, and will keep on submitting more cards (and keeping my fingers crossed!).  I have also been a guest designer for Getting Cricky and Drunken Stampers Challenge.  There is nothing that makes me feel more artistically validated than being published or featured.  So naturally I was thrilled to be chosen for the Design Team for Fantabulous Cricut.  And in from July - December, I will be on the Design Team for The Robin's Nest!  I am so excited to be part of this wonderful group and can't wait to share!

Who knew my love of those little dew drops would one day land me on the Robin's Nest design team which I'm so excited to be a part of!!! I live in Tennessee and have the most wonderful husband, Greg, who is very supportive of my creative habit and one son, Zach, who is 24 years old .

Ever since I was old enough to hold a crayon, I have been creating. I have won various awards for drawing, from elementary school and into college. I have pervious designed for the Vintage Heartfelt Designs and Crafty Card Gallery Design Teams.

I discovered scrapbooking 15 years ago which evolved into paper crafts which lead to altering/up cycling found objects. I love to learn and share ideas with people. My style is shabby chic with vintage and a little bit of whimsy thrown in for good measure.

Bev Code
I am a retired, daughter, wife, mother of 2 boys with families and Grandmother to their 4 kids.  I was a late starter to Scrapbooking but with family and friends as subjects to my pages along with vacations, sports, heritage photos and everyday experiences it keeps me pretty busy with a craft that I love. I make single and double pages, mini albums, cards, altered items and even a few ATC's... along with dabbling with digital copic coloured images and digital scrapbooking and I love making sketches. I have lots of fun video tutorials on youtube because as I learned new things I like to share my easier version of them so others can learn too. I am always looking to learn something new and try it even if only once.

I also enjoy time at the cottage in the summer months and winter in Florida when it's cold and snowy.
Needlepoint, reading, doing suduko puzzles are a few things I also love to do.
I am super excited to be here and hope to inspire you with Robin's Nest product.
I would love for you to visit my blog anytime and say hello. BLOG :

I am honored to have the opportunity to work with the talented members of the Robin’s Nest Design Team.  I live with my understanding spouse of 13 years in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.   We have one precious fur baby, Lilly.  I began creating during my youth with my siblings under the guidance of our mother, making gifts for grandparents.  Mom always kept a "make it box" with art supplies.  My medium of choice is paper.  I love ephemera, vintage embellishments and pattern paper. Did I mention pattern paper? My love of it may be out of control!  Like many I found other mediums to work into paper crafting and my style has evolved over time.  Assemblage, altered art and vintage have become some of my favorites.  I teach classes at local shops; there are three pieces of advice I like to pass on to my students, “There’s no right or wrong way to create!” "You never make mistakes, only opportunities." and “You are your own worst critic!”  In my spare time you will find me in craft stores, antique or thrift shops, yard sales and auctions always on the hunt for old paper, buttons, lace, ephemera and anything else that might be useful in future projects!  I have been published in several issues of Rubber StampMadness, Take Ten, Stampers Sampler, West Sound Home&Garden, The Best of Stampington & Company HandCrafted Vol.7, JUST Steampunk and most recently in JUST Steampunk Vol. 2.  You can find more of my art on my blog

I have been crafting for over 15 years.  I started out with making flower arrangements and then moved onto quilting.  The last 5 years I have been paper crafting, starting out with layouts and minis, I have now moved into altering items. I don't really have a style but love to create shabby chic and I love vintage. I am always up for a challenge when it comes to creating.  I love to create beautiful things!

Extra Large Thank You Card

Hi Everyone!
This week I have been at day camp with my Cub Scouts at our local Marine base. It's been hot, exciting and fun to watch the boys form friendships, interact with the base hero's  and do their best! The day camp staff always does  a great job organizing and putting the weeks worth of events together that I thought they would like a card. This is 8"x11" and filled with lots of hand written thanks inside from the parents and the campers in my den. I love how The Robins nest papers and Dew drops really come together and how the glittered fleur is exactly the Boy Scout emblem. Perfect!
The following supplies were used to make this card:

Liberty Dew Drop Mix
Red Glitter Stripe
Red Glitter Rope
Glittered Fleur
Blue Sorbet
Fire Cracker by Timeless Twine
A scalloped punch, pen, foam tape and adhesive.
Don't forget! Diamond Dews are 20% off this month!

Thanks for coming by and have a great weekend!

Thanks Card I

Good day everyone. Today it is my last day here as part of the design team. To commemorate the day I made a thanks card to share with you to say thank you for the lovely time here.
This card features are special this month diamond dew drops and are monthly partner Timeless Twine.
Liquid glue
For a the little arrows I covered the paper with glossy accents and laid a piece of twine on the top. This gave the arrows a glassy look.
I love the twisted twine on banners it gives them more interest.
For the seal I punched a star out and adhere it on top of circle of corresponding paper.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to stack up on the diamond dew drops this month. They are
20% off. Also I like to thank Timeless Twine for the twine we worked with this month.

Dazzling Diamonds...and other dew drops...

Dew drops from The Robin's Nest are fun embellishments for your cards.
You can add color and texture and dimension!

First, I chose a simple shape and cut it out using a Sizzix die.
Using Scraperfect's Best Glue Ever, I glued on different dew drop shapes
in order to create a mosaic look for the front of my card!

Classified paper from The Robin's Nest makes a nice mat for the plain white card stock.

This month, the RN designers have linked up with Timeless Twine.

There are so many interesting ways to use twine.
Wrap it around a panel...
or create a tail for a star!

Timeless Twine has yards of great colors to choose from!

Here I used Sorbet papers that have streaks of glitter.
After adding my diamond dew drops, I stickle-fied the rest of the white card stock.
Not only does this help promote the "glitter look" of the card, it also covers up any glue smears.
(Shhhhh! Secret!!)

Remember...Diamond Shaped Dew Drops are 20% off during the month of June.
Be sure to pick up a variety of shapes and colors!

Thanks for checking out diamond dew drops today!

Tiny Touches Make a Great Page

This is my last post on this term with The Robin's Nest and today I am sharing how tiny touches can make a page.  Now you may look at this page and think that I have spent too much time on the tiny touches, but scrap booking and paper crafting are about enjoying the creative process as much as preserving precious memories!  And there are many among us that like more than one craft, so why not use your favorite crafts on your paper projects!
I love the relaxing rhythm of crochet, but often find Afghans too time consuming.  So, once in a while I like to pull out my crochet hooks and use them on a page.  I put this page together in one evening.
I started by cutting a circle frame in The Robin's Nest Black Herringbone card stock and punching holes every 1/4 of an inch in the center.  I then blanket stitched around these holes.  You will need a foundation for your crochet to attach to your project and a blanket stitch is perfect for a foundation that won't rip your paper!  I used Timeless Twine and love the size of the hanks of twine.  They are perfect for this type of project!  I began crocheting with a chain stitch of three and attached them to my blanket stitch at every other blanket stitch.  For the second row, I again chained three stitches attaching them at the center stitch of my first row with a single crochet.  This embellishment is perfect for heritage pages, and a baby projects!
I cut my title using The Robin's Nest Silver Glitter Chipboard, with Cricut Close to My Heart Artiste cartridge.  I matted it on black card stock so that it pops off the page.
The background paper is Tropicana Fleur and I fussy cut the motif to tuck my embellished circle behind.  I love the Fleur paper so much that is hard to cover up the botanical goodness!  I added a row of black Diamond Dew Drops to get the look of a clock and added some fussy cut circles from The Robin's Nest Black and White Clock card stock.  The journaling block is also from The Robin's Nest.  I tied it with a bit more of the Timeless twine for a notebook border effect and to repeat it on the page. Can you see that I put a dew drop in the center of my vintage button to repeat the silver.  Don't you love this yellow, black, grey silver color scheme?!

America, My Country

America, My Country

 12x12 Book

I have been wanting to make an America Book for a very long time.  Last year our son and his wife, Brittany asked us if we would drive up the canyon and take pictures of them.  Of course, we love to take pictures, and especially of our kids and their kids!  So here is my 12 x 12 book of these pictures we took last summer.  I was so excited to see the girls dressed in their Red, White, and Blue dresses, and Jake and Brittany dressed in Red.  It was so much fun for me, and now so much fun to share with you the pages I created with their photos.

Independence Day Card or Mini Album?

Timeless Twine
Hello again, Barbara here with my second post for June.  Timeless Twine from Bella Creationz is sponsoring us this month, and I want to share some of my cards I made using products from both companies.  The Robin's Nest products work well with just about everything, and Timeless Twine is no exception.

Well, as I am sure you are aware, our country's birthday is fast approaching.  So, to celebrate, I made this cute card/mini book for this special occasion.
Is it a card, or is it a mini album?  Well, guess what, I am excited to tell you that it is both.  This piece began as a card and evolved into a mini album by simply adding a few signature pages and attaching them with a simple pamphlet stitch.  It does not get any easier than this.  And what a great way to keep those memorable pictures from your family holiday get-together this July 4th!

Day Model

Hello to all!
Today my post is for the Robins. I used this photo I got from a friend hairdresser who offered to some customers with their daughters one day in this model as Mother's Day. Wow love it!
I used paper Calamity Jane Roses by Robins Nest.
This month the DT Team are creating with the
diamond shaped Dew Drops which are on sale all month long .Lots of amazing inspiration!

Used two types of stencil with gesso and modeling paste.
In particular you can see the Cricut cut a rug, I used some lace and side one Dew Drops-Diamond,
oh I really liked these diamonds.

Thank you for visiting The Robin's Nest blog today!
