"Celebration" - Boy Card.

My goal for this summer is to make cards, fFor all sentiments so I'm ready for any occasion.
This card would be perfect for a boy Birthday, Graduation or even Fathers Day!
I used the following supplies and tools:
Teal Water Hammered paper
Glue, paper trimmer, scissors, cup cake punch, border punch and black ink.

The denim squares measure 1.5" each.
I distressed them with black ink.
The cup cake punch is two parts, (Martha Stewart) - this makes it fun to alternate between the cupcake liner and the frosting.
I used a Fiskars border punch to make the elaborate corners.
The stars are cut from "Glitter Boy Star" patterned paper.

I love how this card came together, I hope you do too!

100% boy- 100% little fish

Hello , my dear Robin's Nest friends! Irit is here with my new blog post.
My new page for my DGS Omer- he was taking swimming lessons since he was about 2 month old and he really loves water (not like his grandma- me, that loves  the shower only)
So Robin's Nest gorgeous summery and water papers were used here and here is my final result.
The title is from A2Z Scraplets and covered with some inks and some WOW Embossing powders and then I made this  white pen stitching all over the title.
The following Robin's Nest products were used here:
Aquamarine glitter cardstock Glitter Black Starfish (actually this is the green paper),Pink Coral, Glitter Sea Horse die cut Colored Star fish and some Fishy stickers. I also added a few pearl mini Dew Drops from Parisian set and some blue ones from Primary Dew Drops  set. This is a simple page as I used 3 photos and for multi photo page you need to leave a lot of so called White space to allow you to  see the photos, not embellishments only.
I hope you like my bright and simple layout.
See you  in 2 weeks with my new altered RN project.

Fun In the Sun

Well, better late than never!  First, Happy Memorial Day!  A huge "THANK YOU" to those have given all for our freedom to be!

Now on to the project!  I struggled all week with this.  I new what I wanted to use but just could not get it all together until VERY early this am!  So lets get started!

Blue Raspberry Glitter Paper
Aquamarine Glitter Paper
3D Crystal Lacquer
Terri Sproul Mixers!!
Want2Scrap BLING
Grunge Letters

I printed photos from a water fight between cousins!  Then gathered supplies.  I used the Blue Raspberry paper as the base and mounted the photos on the Aquamarine Glitter paper.  I decided to only mount two of the photos and layer them on top of the third photo.
After the photos were placed I placed the letters and then started the really fun part of mixing the colors to paint the letters!  IF you have not yet used the Terri Sproul Mixers, you need to get them NOW!!

I finished all the letters and let them dry for just a moment.  They dry so quick!
Now I put it all together...
I really love the bling by Want2Scrap and it looks like the water shooting from the guns! I even played a little my self!  Have a GREAT Day!

Delightful Doily

I love to use paper doilies on my scrapbook pages!  I have found the best way to highlight their beauty is to use them in a single photo page.  Now, you might find this alarming if you have always scrapped multiple photos, but I would encourage you to try this and spend sometime playing with paper on your page!
For this page, I wanted to use the Cricut Sophie Cartridge for the doily and I wanted to use the color combo of grey, pink and teal.  So I got out a collection of pretty papers from The Robin's Nest and a few pieces of paper ribbon from Creative Memories and made a stripe of striped paper to get the colors I wanted in the piece on the left.
I made a paper bow by cutting two strips of The Robin's Nest paper 1 1/4" wide and 12" long.  I made a mark on the wrong side of one piece in the middle and folded the ends in to create the loops.  I created the ends by notching the ends and pleating the bit below the bow.  I cut the loop of the remains of the paper and trimmed the center of the looped piece a bit.  I added Dew Drops to the doily and fussy cut some of The Robin's Nest Glitter Pink Swirl to create an embellishment to match the circle cut in the same paper on top of the doily.  This is a great way to get a matching embellishment for less:  just fussy cut your a pretty paper!

Want2Scrap Wedding Day Wall Hanging

Don't forget about the Third Page Map Challenge.  If you would like more information on how to enter and what you can win please check-out the Challenge Post.

I really wanted to do something with a specific photo from our wedding.  Orginially I wanted to do a scrapbook page but I decided a wall hanging would be really cool using the Want 2 Scrap products.

Scrap Violet Paper (for Flowers)
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Weather Wood, Shaded Lilac
Exacto Knife
Beacon 3-In-1 Glue
Flowers from my wedding

To create the window I drew a X pattern on the back of the paper and cut with and Exacto Knife.  Taking the end of a paint brush I curled the paper.  I added Weathered Wood and Shaded Lilac to the curled part.

I rolled the flowers and added Weathered Wood to the edges of the flowers to create the "popping" effect.  I also added Shaded Lilac to the embellishment pieces from Want2Scrap.

Distressed Button, Dew drop "Orange", Faux Stitched Layout

Distressed button, dew drop "Orange", faux stitched layout. Quite a mouthful, right? But oh so fun to make! There were no scissors involved to make this layout. Simply my fingers (to tear), really sticky adhesive, a little foam tape, buttons, beads, a permanent black pen, rust colored ink, yellow glitter glue and the following from The Robins Nest line:
Kiwi Sorbet, Red Sorbet, Autumn Fleur, Honeycomb Fleur, Tropicana Fleur, Red Dew Drops, and Sun Yellow Dew Drops.

I folded each sheet of paper in half and tore down the center. Starting with a 6"x12" piece, I tore the edges to reveal the white core. I continued with the rest of the paper, making each piece smaller and smaller. Then I rolled, twisted, and crumpled the edges. I inked these edges with the rust colored ink to achieve a vintage paper look.
Next I layered all the pieces with my super sticky adhesive,- the middle circle with foam tape. I used the yellow glitter glue to adhear the beads in place and the super sticky glue for the buttons and dew drops. A black pen was used to draw thread lines on the buttons and random stitchery onto the paper.
I love the weather worn look I've achieved with so little tools and so little time. Quite a joy to make.
This would make a great addition to a album, the cover of a mini book, even nice to look at in a Shadow box!
I hope you like it and thanks for coming by to see it. Have a great weekend!

Cherry Pie Mini Album

I’ve created this mini-album using Robin’s Nest papers and embellishments and chipboard from Want2Scrap. I started with W2S’s 12x12 Decorative Sheet Style B Chipboard—a scalloped edge circle. I used a craft knife to cut the chipboard circle into pie-shaped wedges. I used Robin’s Nest Fat Brick Plaid and Valentine Strip paper to cover the front side of each segment. Valentine Strip is a double-sided paper with a solid ash rose colored reverse. I painted the back side of each segment with red Tulip Metallic paint.

Now, the part I love the best—embellishing the album pages!! The cover flower was made using Robin’s Nest Red Flowers kit. I layered three petal sheets, pierced the center and attached a decorative brad. Next, I made cuts from the outer edge of the flower to the outer edge of the brad. This made lots of individual, daisy-like petals. I gently pulled the petals against a scissor blade to add curl. I layered the flower over an unidentified double leaf from my stash.

The second page was embellished with embellished with half a red glitter flower, a red twine bow, and a Robin’s Nest rub-on. The letters on this page and the next that spell Cherry Pie are stick-on bronze glitter letters, also from Robin’s Nest.

The cherry on page 3 was made from the center of the red glitter flower. The leaf is another one from my stash. The cherry stem was cut from vinyl. The rub-on and red pearl Dew Drops are also Robin’s Nest embellishments. The sentiment tag is housed in a pocket on the reverse side of this page. The lettering on the tag was done using my Zing electronic cutter. I just replaced the blade and holder with a Pilot roller ball pen. The Make-the-Cut software that drives the Zing makes it easy to add word and titles using the fonts on my computer.

The red glitter flower on Page 4 was made from the same Red Flower kit. I cut between two petal and used a stylus to gently curl each petal downward. Then, I rolled the petals around each other, forming a flower. I intermittently glued along the base as I rolled. The finished roll was firmly pressed into a Zots glue dot, which also adheres the flower to the page. Other embellishments on this page include Robin’s Nest rub-ons, Dew Drops outlining the top scallops and glittered side edges.

Of course, none of my mini-albums are complete without lots of ribbon tied on the ring.

You can see more of my projects on my Create & Craft blog.
