This adorable layout was made by Robin O'Crowley,
but I had to post it today because I need a
breath of something warm and fun!
We just shoved 16 inches of snow from last night!
I know, other people are shoveling more,
but shoveling is shoveling and it is still COLD!

So this warms my heart and makes me smile.
I hope that it makes you smile too!

My First Layout, Y'all !!!!!

Hi, Everyone!!!! This is Mary. I'm SO excited about being asked to join this wonderful blog. Isn't The Robin's Nest fantastic?!!! In this layout I used the Winter Retreat Swirl, Winter Retreat Snowflakes (and the plaid on the back), the Calamity Jane Stripes, as well as dark brown cardstock and cream cardstock. The snowflakes, swirl and the word "snow" were made using my Cricut machine. I used Cinnamon Stickles glitter glue on the snowflakes and swirl. And of course, I couldn't do a layout without those cute little Dew Drops!!! I used the metallic gold on the corners of the pictures and journaling. For the snow around the edges, I used Snow-Tex by Deco-Art. I'd never used it before, and I just love the look it gives the layout.

Well, just so y'all know, I'm from the South
, so be prepared for a lot of "southernisms"!!! I love family history, scrapbooking, cardmaking.....well, let's face it.....I just love paper.
See y'all next time.

Santa Mosaic

Here is a wonderful mosaic that I think Chelsea loved the most. We gave it away as a prize, but thank goodness we had a picture of it to share! Chelsea took a picture off of the internet and put a piece of tracing paper over it. She then proceeded to lay down the diamonds colors in the areas that the colors were shaded. She used the embellie gellie which made movement of the dew drops very easy. Chelsea poured a strip of Helmar glue, then added the drops, then made another line of glue, then added another line. The actual picture had many other details, she just blurred the lines, and made the mosaic a mosaic. This project only took about an hour and a half, and lots of concentration..she sometimes wanders on the concentration part, but we love her anyway!

Great job Chelsea!! Thanks for sharing!!

Christmas Tree

We made these ornaments out of Styrofoam balls! We spray painted them red and glued Black, White, and Silver Dew drops to them!! It was so easy, and simple. This will be used as a centerpiece for our dinner table during the upcoming Christmas festivities! We also have adorable plates and napkin rings made out of black and white paper to match!
A special thanks to Chelsea for helping me out with all of this crazy madness!!

This is a wonderful picture of my dad!! We always get to hear the true reason for Christmas every year. Maybe he will call us this year and read it to us?? You never know. Robyn created this layout using Glitter Cindy Lou stripe, Glitter Red Chipboard, Christmas Dew Drops and her elegant journalism!
We should all journal!! It tells the rest of the story. I know, I know, a picture is worth a thousand words, but it means more when we share our story with it!!

"Debra from Logansport, IN says…
I am so thrilled and honored to win this prize! Spellbinders are an awesome product and they turn any card-making or scrapbooking project into a work of art. I've used Spellbinders for a long time and still reach for them every time I make something. I'd like to thank Spellbinders and their Cross Promotional Partners for their generous prize."

"Carole from Hanover, MD says…
Oh my. This sort of thing doesn't happen to me. I am in
utter shock. I don't even know how to thank Spellbinders and all of the amazing companies and bloggers who came together this weekend.
'Thank you' doesn't seem adequate. I want to shout from the mountaintops, and even that wouldn't be enough. You've made me cry today. My heart still feels like it will explode from sheer joy. I can hardly wait to try the techniques I learned while hopping – and now I can! I'll have the tools to do it! Thank you, thank you, THANK

Wall Art

This is an elegant project using a combination of our new glitter papers and our pet lines. It seems so regal! We have combined our Red Lion paper with our Glitter Gold on Black Fleur-de-li, our Glitter Gold Paisley, Vanilla Fleur, Brown Animal Print, and of course, our custom stamp (we made our family crest). We also added swatches of brown glitter chipboard, elegant ribbons, and gold mini dew drops.
Try this at home, it will make an very beautiful addition to your office area.
Thank-you Robin for this very elegant project!!

Spellbinders Blog Hop!!

Here are the scalloped circles Spellbinder's sent!

I decided to do a mini album in our lavender chipboard and spring line. The scallops I used here are cut out with our yellow glitter chipboard and butterfly paper. I added a butterfly dewdrop on it and also made a butterfly out of a diamond drop and 4 teardrops!

On the left I used the back of our Lavender Daisy on linen and the mats are out of white cardstock and a green cardstock in my stash along with the purple ribbon. I used the large purple dewdrops out of our Easter bottle. On the right I used our Glitter Purple Flower for a mat layered with a white mat. I cut a scallop out of our green daisy on linen and made a flower on it with teardrops and a dewdrop and a scrap of green ribbon for the stem! I accented the scallop on the album with white dewdrops and added one of our new clippie butterflies on top!

On the left is our Green Glitter Butterfly paper with a white mat and a butterfly clippie on top. I cut out scallop with our Purple Glitter Chipboard and added a daisy on top. On the right I had cut out a line of butterflies from our Green Glitter Butterfly paper, a strip from the Purple Glitter Chipboard and a white mat for my picture. The white felt daisy is accented with a yellow dewdrop and another butterfly I made above it and last some ribbon from my stash I found stapled onto the edge.

I hope I could give you some new ideas! Enjoy the blog hop today and good luck!

Ice Park!

Here is my newest workshop. It is Winter Deer and Winter Snowflake. I also added in White Glitter Snow for an accent and gray cardstock I had in my stash. I accented with silver wired ribbon and mettalic silver dewdrops. The "Peace" card was stamped with a stamp from my stash. I thought this turned out so fun! My accents were cut with my new spellbinder machine...having way to much fun with that!!!

Fun Birthday Goodies!

For all my "fun goodies" I did here I used our new birthday paper "glitter birthday stars, which conveniently goes really well with our crackle papers (all colors) and green starfish paper! You can see I accented our birthday stars with different colors so you can see you can have it for either girls or boys! I used ALOT of our glitter chipboard accenting everything too...I don't think I can scrap without glitter chipboard anymore LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I also used our mini dew drops to accent things and they match perfectly too! This was so much fun and in the frame is my sweet little cousins girl Sophie...isn't she adorable!?! Happy Crafting All,

This layout was made using our Glitter Turkey Paper cut around the designs and coordinated with our Glitter Brown paper as the background. The Glitter pumpkins (chipboard) are raised with ribbons folded behind them. The canvas has been colored in with acid-free markers and the sayings came from our rub-ons! We cut out the "Give Thanks" at the top using a Gizelle.
This layout was created happily by Robin!

Halloween Layout

I know it is now after Halloween, but look how cute this layout is. You can use this idea to scrap your childrens photos. My mother actually made this. She used Witch Accessories, the witch sticker, Halloween words, Black glitter chipboard, Halloween Canvas, black and orange dew drops (dd144..spooky), and the orange journaling. She also accented the pages with the Halloween Rub-on. She distressed the pages with ink from a stamp pad. Just insert a "spooky" picture of your child and your page will be complete!!!
Thanks Mom! You did a great job!

Hello from Ethiopia

Hello all,

Dana and I are serving in Ethiopia as Humanitarian missionaries. We have been having a blast!!!! I wanted to share with you is cute wall hanging I created with Robin's Nest products.
There are 3 strips of ribbon and on each strip are 3 matboards cut to 6x6 size. These matboards are covered with Robin's Nest glittered cardstock, embellished with dew drops in gold, silver, pearl, white, and cream, and with glitter daisy die cuts. It is so fun to see the grandkids everyday in our living room. I hung these ribbons with command strips.
We cannot get on blogs here very easily, so it is nice once in a while to be able to share with you. We wish you all the very best. Robin

Winter Retreat Box

This is an adorable box covered with the Winter Retreat Glitter Papers. Ribbon is wrapped around the top of the base box, and a bow is placed on the top. By-the-way, the bow on top is also made from the Winter Retreat Paper. Pearl Diamonds a placed on the edges of the ribbon to give the box a more elegant feel.

Pumpkin Carving Invitation

How Fun Is This? Our neighborhood decided that we were going to share the pumpkins that we are all growing!! We are going to have a blast!

Bag, Card, Tag and Bow

I think this turned out so pretty! I love the red, black and white! The card has the snowflake made out of diamond drops and the tag has a canvas santa embellishment which I thought gave it an elegant look. The bow I did skinnier than I usually would to give it a more whimsical look and the bag is just fun with lots of cutout snowflakes, a glitter snowman and a border of dew drops! I did these for an upcoming workshop....what do you think?

Halloween Bag

This was such a fun bag to make! I love Halloween and I'm always looking for cute ways to give out candy to my neighbor kids! I used our new Halloween paper "Orange Bones" and "Pumpkin Head". I added lots of glitter embellishments for the tag and cut out a big bat and cat along with using a new "clippie" on they front that I added a bit of color too. Lots of ribbon and a border of dew drops and there you have it!

Tip: I like using 1/4" double sided tape for borders. I add the dew drops and sprinkle a coordinating color of glitter on it to fill in gaps. The glitter brushes right off and adds a nice touch!

Howloween Invitations

Thinking about throwing a Howloween Party?

Try making your own cards!

I cut off the bottom of the haunted house cardstock so that it would fit in a legal sized envelope. I then stamped the party invite info in the moon.

I decorated an orange envelope with our Halloween Rub-on.

Easy, easy, easy!

Have a fun party!

The Collin Group Show Class

Hello Everybody!

We are going to be teaching a class at The Collin's Group Show. Robyn and Rachel will be showing how to make simple and elegant cards, gift tags, and ornaments for Christmas. We will be posting pictures soon!

More details to come in the next few days! Look forward to seeing you in Orlando!
Miss Chelsea created this mosaic using
obsiand and citrine diamond shaped dew drops!
She changed the direction in each row to create
a more 3-D effect! She used a product called
the embellie gellie, which is wonderful to
pick up and place the dew drops in position quickly.
This project took apporximately 1&2/2 hours to make.
Good Job Chelsea, and Happy Birthday today!

Leaf Shaped Card

I created this frame using Glitter Leaf cardstock and gold dew drops. I simply traced the outline of an unfinished wood frame and cut the image out of the paper and glued it onto the wood. I then used the new dew dew glue and glued around the opening for the picture. This is an elegant way to show off that prized fall picture that you want to show everyone!

This is Robyn's little baby (besides Gabe).
She used our paw print products to make
this young, handsome fellow
look a little better than he felt.
Poor Apollo!

Gabe being Gabe! I used all Robin's Nest products on this layout: Getaway Swirl, Orange Crackle, Glitter Brown Letters, Orange Dew Drops, Dew Dew Glue, and the O'Crowley love!
Hunting Season is just around the corner!

Dew Drop Mosaic

My daughter, Chelsea, made this mosaic using the diamond shaped dew drops! She took a picture of one of our sunflowers outside, then she traced the lines, and filled in the lines with the colors that she wanted. She used Helmar glue to adhere the drops to the tracing paper. How awesome is this!!! Imagine the possibilities! I will upload images of other mosaics later.

Fall is Coming!

I love this new paper!
I used the bones cardstock paired with orange crackle and the halloween rub-on from The Robin's Nest. I also use the new velvet ribbon!
Aren't these children sooo scary!

New cards with our O'Crowley Crest!

I think these are so majestic looking and I can't wait to send them out for "Thank You" cards or note cards...I left them blank inside so I can use them for whatever! I stamped and embossed the crest, layered, added some coordinating dewdrops on our glitter swirl paper and VOILA!

What do you guys think? And what do you think we will be bringing out in the upcoming catalog?

Forgive me for not having any pictures on this one yet, I'm still getting them together to get them printed out! I took over 700 in one month (vacations) and I'm still sorting! I did this layout for our "Fantasmic" pictures (the firework show at Epcot)....

"Lace Up" Hanging Album

I used our new beach paper, seahorse die cut, lots of glitter and dewdrops! All the dewdrops I used, except for the clear, are the new "mini" dewdrops! I think it made my coral POP on the first page! I like this because I can just keep adding pages down! The kids like coming in my craft room and seeing all our adventures on the wall..and this is just a new way to showcase them!

This was from our adventure at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta...if you live in the south or plan on HAVE to make that a stop, we were amazed at all the oceanlife we saw and everything we could pet and touch!

8X8 Canada Album Title Page

Do you like what I did with the diamond drops?

I took so many pictures on our trip down from Canada that I decided it will definitely need it's own album so here is my title page!
