OCrowley Clear Album

Today, I thought I would share with you the album I am making for all my kids. This is the first year in 10 years that our family was all home this summer together. Really it needs to be memorable, and for me it is. We have 3 sons that serve in the army, one is in Iraq right now and the other two are in guard or reserve. So they may be off to Iraq this next year also. So here is the cover. We used the dark vanilla line of glitter papers, also the gracious getaway line to create the look of the book. We also used the dragonfly rubon on the edge of the clear letters. May Arts brown glitter circle ribbon was used to tie the book together. I stamped the edges of the clear pages with a swirl acrylic stamp and brown ink. I have to say that this is one of my favorite projects that I have completed. That's us!!! The O'Crowley's.

Grampa in Alaska

I found this layout while I was trying to find a disk to copy things on tonight. Robyn did this cute layout sometime before the sale of the store, but it was put on hold cause we were working on other things, but it just had to go on today before it got lost again in the disk file. I love the way she added such dimension. Rocks and twigs, you can find these in almost any yard. Products used Robins Nest items - Outdoor plaid cardstock, and leaf stripe cardstock, life sticker, and burlap, which we will get on the website soon. Other products - twill ribbon brown, brown cardstock and light brown cardstock, and letters.

Christmas Cards 3 of 3

These Christmas cards are a fun twist for the Holidays instead of using the traditional red and green.

The top card is using brown and blue cardstock, Robin's Nest glitter snowflakes chipboard, and Robins Nest glitter snowflake swirl cardstock. Ribbon is from Martha Stewart, and acrylic stamp Happy Holidays from inkadinado.

Second card is using Blue carstock, light blue ribbon, rubber stamp from inkadinkado, Bottom printed cardstock is Robin's Nest snowflake swirl, and forget me not dew drops, and Martha Stewart icicle border punch.

This is all for this week, we have some great ideas for Christmas books, log on next week. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Christmas Cards 2 of 3

I love these cards, using Robin's Nest products.

Top card uses our Glitter Christmas swirl cardstock, green on green glitter cardstock, red cardstock - puched edge with a Martha Stewart border punch, cream cardstock, and Robin'sNest Christmas Rubons.

The second card uses our Cindy lou cardstock, dot and stripe, holly leaves from heidi grace, and green tree brads from making memories.

Christmas Cards 1 of 3

I love these cards that we made in our last card class. These were created by Stephanie Tucker. The top card uses brown and green cardstock, cream twine, red dew drops, holly leaves, and Robin's Nest Red on red glitter swirl cardstock. Punch border is Martha Stewart.

Bottom card is also using Robin's Nest red on red glitter swirl cardstock, red dew drops, green cardstock, and Martha Stewart punch, and we used our kiwi sorbet glitter paper to create the wreath with the martha punch.

thanksgiving book

One of my most favorite books is this.
I have just been taken with being
thankful. And finally was able to have
it come together in a book. My family
gets together for thanksgiving every
year, and this is where I put those
pictures. I also list the things I am most
thankful for, and each year add to it.
I might have to start a new book someday,
I guess it could be a sequel.
This book was created by using Robins Nest
chipboard in walnut color, honeycomb Fleur linen
cardstock, which is folded over on the upper corner showing the stripe from the back of the paper, leaf stickers, chipboard pumpkins and bird of paradise dew drops to create a pumpkin. All this product is Robin's Nest. Various ribbons are used and EK success giving thanks title, which has the turkey. The die for the book is accu-cut and we will be offering these books pre-cut within a month on our website.

OK, so we have neglected this blog for a whole month! We sold our building that housed our retail store, and decided to liquidate our store completely, the last 30 days have been spent doing that, I have been working 6 days a week to keep up and keep things running smoothly, which isn't always the case, even when you are there. But for the most part we have been successful. I must say that we have been overly blessed, and to liquidate an entire store in 30 days in incredible. Especially when the better part of the merchandise was sold. I will get more on here soon, Christmas cards and the cutest thanksgiving book.

Embrace Life

OK so finally my first post! Did you think you would never have the other Robyn? I have not been procrastinating---just very busy on sweet treats for the website...more on that later though! I did this layout for my first post because I think this shows you a good idea of who I am. I am an Army wife madly in love with my husband and truly devoted to him and my children. I love to Embrace Life's little moments and chose 3 that are very dear to me with my husband. This is a very simple layout, I wanted all the focus to be on the picture (which is one of my favorites of us) and the journaling. I used the Embrace Life linen cardstock, brown on brown swirl glitter cardstock (I use this ALOT as you will see in future posts!), black dew drops, some cream colored cardstock I had in bulk and a stamp at the bottom of the first page. I cut the fleur I cut and top corner on the first page I cut out of an extra piece of Embrace Life and used pop dots to make them stand out, matted my photo with the brown on brown glitter swirl, and added my dew drops! I also use zig glue for my dew drops--I think it works the best too. I am excited to start sharing my ideas and hope to inspire some of you!

Happy Creating,

Halloween Book / inside pages

These pages turned out so cute, I have to say it is one of my favorite books we have created. Each page is embellished with glittered spiderwebs cut out of Robin's Nest glitter spiderweb cardstock. Paper used on these pages are Robin's Nest halloween dot on linen cardstock It is double sided, so as you cut out the page, you will have the back side already with a print, thus the striped paper is the back of the halloween dot. I have used may arts ribbon, and autumn watercolor paper to frame the pictures in and print lettering. The Lettering is from dover publications, and I believe I used some ek stickers as well on these pages. Pages are 6x6 in size.

Halloween Book

This is the front cover of our cute halloween book. The Cover is made with Robin's Nest Black chipboard, and covered with Robins Nest glittered spiderweb cardstock. The Book has 3 rings on the end, and each ring is filled with tied ribbon in halloween colors. We did orange and black only. Most of the ribbons are from May Arts. The corner embellishment that says halloween is from doodlebug design. We have embellished the front of the book with glitter black and white yarn, a spider ring, with the ring part cut off, and glued down with a glue dot. Dew drops follow the lines of the spiderweb in the corner, and are glued down with a zig glue pen. All Robin's Nest products are available on our web site. The Die used for the book is an Accu-cut die. This is a 6x6 Book.

My Camera

Here I am, the way the fam usually sees me. Camera in hand. One of the funnest things I have purchased in my life is my camera. There is a different world out there through the eyes of my camera. These photos were taken by my oldest daughter of me, and I saw a new glimpse of how my family saw me. I love it. I am working on a series of 6x12 books about myself, so these pages are in 6x12 format. Papers used are Robin's Nest- Calamity Jane roses cardstock, brown on brown glitter cardstock, brown swirl glitter cardstock, french vanilla fleur on linen cardstock,
cowboy dew drops. Don't you just love these dew drops. Just adhere to your page with a zig pen glue. It is so easy, no punching holes in your pages. Just glue.

Oh how I love to vacation!!! This uses our spa journey glitter cardstock. The actual layout is an 8x8 size. I also used brads, and a very old sticker from ages past.

Happy Fright Night

Here is the cutest halloween card using our black glitter trees cardstock. We also used black and brick cardstock, ripped down the edge of the glitter cardstock and tied the card with a black and orange ribbon. The glitter cardstock was featured on the front cover of the Canadian Scrapbooker. Card was created by Stephanie Tucker

Growing old Together

We are so excited to have our first post on our blog. This layout is using our Dark Vanilla line of papers. Hey, this is Dana and Robin, the owners and me the designer of The Robin's Nest product line.

The background is dark vanilla brown on brown glitter cardstock. Our photo is matted with the back side of dark vanilla stripe cardstock, and the stripe behind the matted photo is dark vanilla glitter stripe. The side bar is glitter latte fleur linen paper. The fun texture is using our famous dew drops!!! I used a circle template with soil dew drops, just a small space about the size of a dew drop between each one.
Adhere the dew drops with a drop of zig glue (that's my favorite adhesive for the dew drops). Sticker is the dark vanilla sticker placed under and around the corner of the photo. Layout by Robin O'Crowley
