How to do

Cut a big tag and a piece of paper.

Stick the piece of paper on the tag and apply some stamps.

OMG Little Leafy Friend on a card is just too cute

Hi.. Bev here today. So for this card today at the Robin's Nest I am using  a fabulous fun friend accent. Mix and match it to their amazing paper choices and I have a super cute card.

Supply List:
Robin's Nest Products
Other: tutti die cut, Creative Embellishment chipboard butterfly, cardstock

To make this card I pulled the papers that best suited the colouring of the super cute Little Leaf Friend accent which is the main focus of my card. Isn't it just too cute. There are others you would love for some of your projects too.. so be sure to check them out in the store.

Next I added the stripes to the card. making sure the black line still showed.

Trim it with some chipboard accent and the small word sentiments die cuts and it's done.
This may be a simple and easy card but it's amazing combo makes it perfect.

Thanks for joining me today... and hope you have a great day too.

How to create a simple pocket book gift card

Good morning Terri here, today I am going to show you how to create a simple pocket book gift card.

Sometimes we want to give a loved one something other than a greeting card, maybe we want to give them a ticket to a show or a gift card, maybe you are giving them some photos and need a way to wrap them, hopefully this tutorial will give you a new idea.

I will be using the following products from Robins Nest

I cut a piece of 6"x 12" card and scored it in half to create my outer card

Using my chosen paper for the insert I folded it in half and in half again, I then unfold and cut one of the folds to the centre.

Then fold the paper to form triangles so it looks like the picture above

I added sticky tape along the outer edge (show here in red) and then closed the triangular flap

Now we have an insert with 2 pockets, I glued this inside the outer card which I cut and folded previously

On the front of the card I added a paper doily and some embellishments from my Robins Nest stash

I also added some paper lace tape to the spine of the card

Inside can be filled with items of your choice

I hope you like this idea and give it a try yourself.

Thank you for stopping by today.

One Fine Day Layout, and How to Tint Paper Flowers

Good morning crew, Penny here with my "One Fine Day" layout, and to show you how to tint paper flowers. This is my is my finished layout with my hand tinted flowers.

So I started with some beautiful supplies from Robin's Nest Scrapbook Supplies.  I have listed them for you with links to each one so they are easy for you to find.

Brown-Glitter-Cardstock - This is lovely to look at but this photo doesn't show all the lovely glitter on it.

Forest-Trees-Specialty-Paper Side A - This is a hammered paper, with beautiful texture.

Side B -  I used side B on my project. which is a lovely gold color.

Doillie-Die-Cuts - I used two different colors of these lovely doilies on my project.  They are adorable.

Saffron-Flower-Die-Cuts - These are the flower die cuts that I hand tinted.

Rosy-Cards - These great cards were used in two ways, one for my title, and the other one as a page accent.

This was the accent piece.

Flame-Dew-Drops - This link takes you to the color I used, but this photos shows you the many colors and styles that are available.

Embellie Gellie - This is the perfect way to place any type of tiny item on a page, or anywhere for that matter. They are a perfect fit with the Robin's Nest Dew Drops.

ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever - This glue is amazing to work with, and it glues so many different product types, like metal, plastic, fabric, paper, etc.

So to hand tint my flowers, I used a watercolor marker where ever I wanted my flowers to be darker. Then I took a wet Q-tip , (you could also use a tiny paint brush with water on it) and went around the area's I had just colored with a marker. It works best if you do one petal at a time so the marker doesn't have time to dry.

I did several flowers in this manner.

Here is one placed on my layout, with another small flower on top of it with a pop dot, and a Dew Drop center.

 Another sample on the layout.

Final sample.

Here is my finished layout with all the flowers in place.

I hope I have inspired you to have fun altering your die cuts. Till nest time Happy Scrapping. Love Penny
