Treat Jar/Sweet Jar

Good morning Crafty friends Terri here today with a lovely little project that was inspired by a cherished memory.

Last year my Mother in Law passed away and one of the memories that sticks is that each time we visited we'd come home with some Krówki or cow sweets as some may know them. This Easter when we went to our local Polish shop we purchased a bag and wanted somewhere to keep them and thats how the treat jar was born....

I started by adding strip of Smoky Chevron Cardstock to a salsa jar, I used red double sided tape as it's very strong

Next I die cut some rolled roses from the Rosy Chevron Cardstock

I then added a some Azure Ribbon around the top of the jar and tied it in a bow, I also cut some leafs too

I placed a Sentiment from the Thank you card kit onto the reverse of the  Valentine Hearts cardstock and stuck it to the jar

I glued my roses and leafs onto the jar just right of my sentiment

I die cut a butterfly and added some Dew Drops

I placed more Dew Drops around the sentiment using Dew Dew Glue

All that was left was to add the Krówki

Feminine Birthday Easel Card

If you need a super girly girl birthday card, then this is the design for you...
flowers & glitter...who can ask for anything more?

Here you can see it is an easel card with a decorated inside as well.

The Robin's Nest Supplies

The Robins' Nest Shop
Directions:
1. Divide the front panel in half and use a ruler and pencil to lightly mark the center line. (parallel to the fold) Place the open card onto the scoring board and use a paper creasing tool to score the line. Place the edge of the ruler along the scored line to help the paper bend easier. Then place the card on a flat surface and firmly crease the card with a paper creasing tool.

2.
Place the card into landscape position and attach double sided tape to the lower half section of the card. Adhere a piece of glitter cardstock to cover the entire front but only attach it to the lower half of the card front. The upper half of the pattern paper will not be attached to the card base so that the fold in the card base can act as a hinge and the card can stand up to be displayed like an easel. Lastly, turn over the card and trim away any excess overhanging paper.

3. To embellish the front of the card, fussy cut some flowers from Purple Flower Cardstock. Double matte a birthday greeting and make three candles. To make the candle flames, apply Yellow Glitter Glue to orange Tear Drops. Push the Tear Drops into clay to stabilize them while applying the glitter. When the glitter is dry, turn the Tear Drops over, push them back into the clay and draw the wick with a permanent black marker.

 4. Select coordinating Purple Flower Cardstock to match the front of the card and adhere it to the inside of the card. TIP: If the pattern paper has a bold design, do not cover the entire inside of the card. Leave 2-3 inches at the top of the inside of the card uncovered so that you may easily write a message.

5. So that the card front has a place to rest against and stand as an easel card, attach brads to the inside of the card in a row 3-4 inches from the bottom edge of the card. When you are satisfied, mark the placement of the brads with a pencil and use a craft knife to make small slits for the brads. Finally, push the brads through the slits and secure them. For a neat finish, cover the back of the card with paper to hide the open legs of the
brads.

It's a Waterloving Day

Hello Readers,

I'm feeling like summer right now!
Especially on this March day, so we are going to the splash park!

Well, in our memories we are.

These were photos I took with the phone,
actually, some of them are pretty good because they show the
drops of water that are being sprayed!

I never noticed that this could be done with a phone.

I used Blue Rasberry Sorbet glitter cardstock as a base for the
2 page layout.
I also used water stickers, blue dew drops and tear drops.

This is such a simple layout, not much on the
page but water drops and pictures,
just what I wanted to portray.

The dew drops are glued on with a glue pen that writes like
a pen, easy to put a dot of glue, then slide the dew drop or the
tear drop on to that small dot of glue, it works great on glitter papers,
and it stays!

Have a wonderful January day,
dream of that warm weather of the summer,
and pull out your photos and get a
scrapbooking!

You can find these products on our website

Ciao,

Robin

Yabba Dabba Doo!

Hello crafty friends, Giorgia here.
Let me wish you a Happy Easter!
Today I have for you a layout with colors inspired by nature: a lot of green and brown - always a color palette that I love!
Me and my husband love to travel, and during our first trip to US we discovered this funny Flinstones themed park, where I took silly pictures.
I used The Robin's Nest papers, cardsrubonsdie-cutsdew drops and archival seeds... I love all these products!

This is how I made my layout and some close up.

As first step I always gather all the possible supplies I will need: I decide the picture and then search coordinating papers, embellishments, stickers and so on and put them all together. It is a great way to wake up the creative flow!

As background for this layout I chose Kiwi Sorbet glitter cardstock. I hand tier a piece of Sour Apple Glitter Cardstock and glued it on the top: apply glue only on the top of it because we will add another layer under this one.

I created another layer hand tiering a piece of Wrap glitter cardstock and applying it this way:

I mat picture with a piece of Dinosaur cardstock (reverse):

I glued the picture (always remember to apply glue only in the centre, to have the possibility of adding layers later!). I added a doily from Saffron Bike die cuts on the bottom right angle of the picture:

I cut cards from Leafy Green cards and adhere them this way, then I added another doily from Saffron Bike die cuts in the top left corner of the picture:

I decided to add rubons from Belgian Chocolate Boy rubon in the centre of the doily - you can make this prior to glue them under the picture, it would be much easier!

I stapled a tab from Leafy Green mini die cuts and I added a sticker:

Final touch: my beloved dew drops! You know how much I LOVE them, they always add an extra touch to each project! They come also in teardropsdiamond,butterfly and heart shapes... take a look!
I also added Pistachio archival seeds and tiny little stickers for the title:

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you liked my project.
