Genuine Boy

Tracy here today, and in keeping with our monthly theme of boys, I did a layout of my grandson. It was actually from Christmas but the colors of the photo went so well with the plaid papers, I decided to scrap it without using traditional Christmas colors.

Here's the supply list:
Corrugated Chipboard
Wood Veneers
Ticket
Notebook Punch
Gesso
Inks
Brick Stencil

I started by wiping gesso around the edges of the back side of the Dinosaur Cardstock, then stenciled the brick pattern over the gesso using a tan colored ink. I then took the Red Plaid Linen Cardstock and tore two somewhat square pieces to use as the top mat and the reverse side for the bottom photo mat. In between those two mats I used a torn square piece of the reverse side of the Special Delivery/Boys Plaid. I also inked all  the edges of the three mats.

For the title I used the Belgian Chocolate Boy Rub-on.

I cut a strip of the Special Delivery/Boys Plaid and punched it using a notebook edge punch and then scrunched up the edges. Then added the wood veneer, corrugated chipboard star cutout, ticket and chain.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Love torn edges. They work really well for boy pages.
