Mermaid Dreams

Summer time always makes me long for the beach.  Living in a landlocked state I don't get to go as often as I would like.  The ocean is so magical.  One of these days I will once again live by the ocean. Until then I will craft about it!

So much Robin's Nest goodness on this tag.  I started by cutting my size 8 tag out of Water Glitter Swirl Cardstock.

Then I added my sand.  I ripped a bit of Peach Glitter Cardstock to create layers of sand. I used a bit of light brown ink on the edges.
To make the water I used Sky Blue Glitter Cardstock.  I used the same very complex art technique of ripping paper to make the waves.  The paper got a dash of blue ink to darken the edges.
Now to add the fun bits. I used Honey Passion Archival Seeds  for the seashells.  Some I left flat. Some I rolled to make them look like mussel shells.  The little clam on the bottom got a Dew Drop for a pearl.  A small Starfish is popping out of the waves.  The mermaid tail is stamped with archival ink on Moss Green Glitter Cardstock.  I added some accent colors with pink and blue markers.  The bathing beauty was fussy cut and popped in the sand with some foam dots.

The sun is made from Saffron Flower Die Cuts and Sunset Diamond Dew Drops. The center is a Metallic Gold Dew Drop

A little verbage completes the tag.

Next time you go to the beach be sure you look for mermaids.
