Easter Bluebird Tea Cup

Hi everyone! It's me, Tonya! I'm here to share a super fun project I created for the Robin's Nest using the Spring Collection which is 20% off this month and we are also cross promoting with Altered Pages too.

I love creating these little tea cups and saucers. They are quick to create and makes a fun gift to give to someone that collects tea sets or it could make the perfect place setting at a party.  All you will need to do is print off the Paper Tea Cup and Saucer onto Spring Flower Glitter Cardstock and then cut out and ink the edges of the saucer before adhere together.I spritzed a doily from Gina's Designs with Tattered Angels Lemon Zest Glimmer Mist once dry I glued it to the saucer and then adhered the cup on top of the that.

I next fussy cut from the Sweet Easter Cards printout the little bluebird. In the bottom of the cup I wadded up a piece of tissue paper and glued inside. Next I adhered the bluebird to the tissue paper.

Next I added Easter grass around the bird to cover the tissue paper.

Now all you have to do is add paper flowers, mini eggs, lace, ric rac and anything else that is Easter related. See super easy and cute to boot!!! :-)

SPRING AND EASTER PROJECTS

Hi, Friends! It's Ro back again to share a couple of projects with you featuring the Spring and Easter Collections at The Robin's Nest. These papers are so much fun to work with. I think you'll like them, too! Links to the supplies used in these projects can be found at the end of this post.

Here is my first project. It's a 3D Box Card. If you've never seen these cards before, they fold flat and fit into an A2 size envelope for easy mailing. I chose to do an Easter box. You can do an internet search for the templates for these boxes. The one I used is from the Silhouette Store.

Aren't these box cards adorable? Here are the cut pieces I started with. You will notice I even cut the layered pieces from white cardstock. I do this so I have better control over the colors and shading on my layers by using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

The assembly is actually quite easy. The striped layers were attached to the base like this:

I then folded the box card and laid it flat to add the bunny paper to the bottom sections.

Once the layers were attached, I simply folded the box and attached the tab with some extra strong tape.

For the inserts (bunny and eggs), I adhered all the layers together and added some bling in form of Stickles, a little marker coloring, and Dew Drops.

The tabs were folded one forward and one back and tape was added. They simply slide into the box and pressed into place. I chose to add the separate egg to the back layer with some foam adhesive. I added a beautiful yellow ribbon from Altered Pages.

I added some vinyl flowers and embellished them with some Dew Drops, and added some Dew Drops to the Easter eggs as well.

I think this turned out super cute and I can't wait to share it with someone in person!

My second project features some beautiful artwork from Altered Pages, along with some beautiful glittery paper from The Robin's Nest.

I cut the picture and sentiment out and mounted them on some slightly larger purple paper. The glittery paper was also mounted and placed on the card base. Look at the amazing texture on that paper!  I added a few Dew Drops for balance and to add a little dazzle.  The inside of the card was made using the same papers with a very simple sentiment.

Guatemala

Guatemala

is one of our favorite places to visit.
17 years ago we went on a tour to
Guatemala.

There were many places we didn't visit,
last year we had the opportunity to
go to Guatemala again.
So, there were a few places on our
Bucket list to visit.

Here they are.

Antigua

This town is one of the oldest in Guatemala,
and the town has been preserved
to keep its original form and beauty.
Buildings are so beautiful.
And the original churches and monasteries
are absolutely fabulous!

Amazing Collections are so inspiring

Hi Bev here..... so glad you could join us today..
Using the
Spring Collection and Easter Collection
Spring Flowers Glitter Cardstock
Bunny Stripe Cardstock
I created the fabulous page using old photos of my Grand Parents.

I fussy cut extra flowers to pop on top of the background floral print... and added
floral centres using dew drops.

Do You Hear Spring Calling?

Hi everyone and Happy Spring!  It's me Tonya and I'm here to share my project for the Robin's Nest. This month I used the Spring Collection which is 20% off this month and I might say it is simply springy.  Also we are cross promoting with Altered Pages which has some awesome vintage collage images.
I have an over abundance of buttons, lace, ribbon, charms, ephemera from swaps and I really want to get it contained into one storage container. Well, this is what I came up with…an altered egg carton!!! It has 18 cups to put away tidbits of crafty goodness.

I started with gessoing the egg carton inside and out. Once the gesso is dry paint with acrylic paint. I didn't paint the top or inside of the lid because I would be covering it with cardstock.

Butterflies and Dragonflies

Today I have created a double layout about my little sister Rachelle. I love and adore this girl!  She is married to her high school sweetheart and the mother of two little boys who are 3 1/2 and 5 months.  She is such a great wife and mother and a perfect person for these bright and fun pages, which are so her!
For these pages I used the Glitter Green Butterflies card-stock.  I framed my pictures with the Water color Plum card-stock.
I used Glitter Pink Stickers for her name.  It went so well with these bright spring colors.
I took some clear glass gems I've had kicking around my craft room and the dragonfly stickers from the Summer stickers and used mod podge to keep the glass look over the top.  I love the accent these gave to my page.
On the opposite page I used these chipboard dragonflies from Gina's Designs and painted them two different shades of purple and dusted them in glitter.
Around the glass gems and across the bottom on the right page I used some white fiber ribbon as a final touch. Really loved how these came together!
Hope you enjoyed these fun pages as much as I did!
Happy Crafting!
