Snow Flurry Tray

Hi everyone! It's me, Tonya. This year has flown by and can you believe that Christmas is only two months away!?!?!? Most of the time I have over half of my shopping finished and a few presents already made but not this year. Gulp! Well, since the Robin's Nest Alter Art design team is cross promoting with Walnut Hollow and one of my choices was the 10"x12" rectangular tray I decided to altered it into something Christmas/Winter related and this is what I came up with.

I started by painting the ends of the tray in antique white paint. I did two coats of paint.

Next I used two sheets of the Blue Fluer cardstock and cut to fit the sides, inside bottom and top edges of the tray then I adhered all pieces with Mod Podge and let dry.

I cut a piece of Admiral Fluer Glitter Linen cardstock to fit underneath the tray. I adhered with Mod Podge. Once dry I went over all the tray with Mod Podge again to seal the paper.

I cut snowflakes from the Winter Snowflakes, Admiral Fluer Glitter LinenWinter SnowflakesWhite Snow Glitter cardstockSilver Classic Glitter Swirl Vellum. Also from white cardstock I cut a Flourish diecut and the doily is from Gina's Designs. I adhered all pieces to opposite corners of the tray.

I finished off with sequins, Dew Drops and pearl sprays.

There you have it a very simple yet elegant project that you can create in a couple of hours.

Be sure to stop by the Robin's Nest and check out their line of Fluer Linen cardstock and while you are at it hop on over to Walnut Hollow and check their assortment of unpainted wood pieces.

Supplies Used:
Walnut Hollow: 10"x12" rectangular tray
Anita's Antique White Acrylic Paint
Cuttlebug: SnowflakesDiecut, Sizzix: Flourish, Snowflake
Sequins, Antique Mod Podge, Pearl Spray

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Sunday is wonderful and enjoy creating!
