Spooky Treats

Hello again!

Halloween is coming....oh dear let's hide!

That used to be my response when I first encountered trick or treaters.....and I used to get annoyed at the constant knocks and ring of the door bell....
Halloween was not something that was celebrated or practiced in South Africa, which is where I was born and raised.....and even after all these years in the UK, I still haven't gotten used to it yet.....

Every year when my doorbell rings, I am always unprepared for the little faces that greet me, looking at me for special treats. And let's face it , I can't exactly say no to little kids.....

So because I'm still not  sure what I'm really meant to be doing.....***smile***, I normally just have a few tins of sweets and let the kids take as much as they want....which they love!
But then....there's always very little to nothing left for the late comers.....can't win!

The Halloween Collection inspired me to try something a little different.....
This year, I'm going to be a little bit more organised......

I die cut a variety of papers from the Halloween Collection to create little 'treat' bags which will be filled with something tasty...or tricky....or both....???

I found the quality of the paper is excellent for making these treat bags....and the design elements make for great embellishments.

The front of the bags were decorated with design elements which were cut from left over pieces of card stock. Some left over paper pieces were also stamped and embossed to add a greeting....and added ribbon ties to finish off.

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully, you will be inspired to try something a little different this year!

What a great idea! Where I live I very rarely get a trick or treaters but that would be a fun treat for the little spookster that knocks on my door. <3

These are adorable! I do "awesome" treats for my tricker treaters that we see on a regular basis, and then I do the candy for the rest of the kids who visit me, this is a great idea for the treat bags! Great job! I think you might start enjoying Halloween more :)

Penny, I love these! Can you please tell me how you constructed the actual bag? Did you use a die cut?
