Mini Notebook Trio

Hi everyone, Mandi here as this month's guest designer. Since last time you saw me here I was on the card team so I decided to create something new for this day. Mini notebooks.
On this on I covered the front with the special delivery paper, classy ribbon, outlined the special delivery sticker with mini dew drops and added a cute little bow.
I used the reverse side of the Daisy Stripe Teal for the front of this book. I then added the gold glitter paisley paper, stripe french vanilla and winter glitter snowflakes for the banners and topped it off with the black tear dew drops.
On this one I kept it simple. i covered the front with daisy teal stripe. I added the glittered hearts but used 3-d foam squares under the top heart to make more of a statement.
Thanks for dropping by and checking out these cute notebooks that are perfect for a Back to School party.

Rose Garden Card

 Hi Everyone!
Michelle here to show you something pretty you can make for a card, gift bag or your "Art Journal" as I did here.  Materials needed:
Classified Card stock
White Classic Glittered Card stock
River Bed Tear Dew Drops
Red and green tissue paper- torn or cut into 1" x 6" strips.
Double stick tape, a pen, some scrap paper, and  Tombo glue - ( I use this because it goes on tacky and dries clear.)

Bonding

Bonding

You know how guys are,
slap on the back, butt heads or chest, punch.
These are their forms of affection.

I am in Alaska,
visiting with our oldest son,
and his family.
Robyn, his wife,
(yes, there are 2 Robin OCrowley's)
let me go through a box of photos that are
duplicates.

I of course, love these fun moments for my
own books  to look through,
and I get to use a new variety of photos,
older kids!

So these are the kind of guy pics
I found, they are so Josh, and just
so fun to see how much he loves his sons.

I used our new baby line of papers and stickers, and a few other
papers that just seemed to add that
guy look to the page.

And of course dew drops, in blue
to match the page.

I also cut out the motif from the classified cardstock.

Well, just a fun simple layout with my son and his sons.

Don't forget to vote for The Robin's Nest on Martha Stewart's American Made page.

Enjoy!

Hugs,

Robin

Double Pocket Purse...in Glitter Swirl!

Using Robin's Nest Glitter Swirl Papers, I created a sweet little gift ensemble that
any little girl, or girl at heart, would adore!

Don't you love these brads from the Eyelet Outlet!
These 12mm silver rimmed pearl brads are great hardware for my purse handles!

Double pockets!
I used 1" glue lines from Glue Dots © to secure these pockets.
Mini Glue Dots © are great for the mini dew drops that embellish both the
purse and the card.

One pocket fits this sweet 4" card.
Here I used   Glitter Swirl and mini dew drops!
Since my prima flower wasn't exactly the right shade of pink to match the purse,
I sponged a little ink to give it a deeper shade.
What a great match it is now!

This sentiment comes from Sweet N Sassy Stamps:  Happy Place.
I'm crazy over sunshine/sun/sunbeams these days!  Love this sentiment, don't you?

Remember, all styles of Glitter Swirl Cardstock are 20% off this month

So, what ideas do you have to put in the second pocket?
there is a gusset so it doesn't have to be complete flat.

Classic Glitter Swirls Paper and Dew Drops

Hi.. Bev Code here today.  This month at the Robin's Nest I am thrilled to
share with you the papers with glitter swirls in many fabulous colors.

I thought I'd start with the special gold and silver on cream base and the silver on black base
and make a wedding page... using an old photo of my mom and all her brothers.

Let Them Eat Cupcakes

Hi everyone! It's me, Tonya, and I'm back with a project I created with some awesome Glitter Swirl cardstock that is 20% off this month over at the Robin's Nest. The cardstock is elegant but I wanted to convey something fun and whimsical. Do you remember last month I had the leftover sleeve off of the 250/300 matchbox from my Rolodex holder I  had created?
Well I created  something elegant, fun and whimsical with that little sleeve. I combined my love of cupcakes and Marie Antoinette and came up with a mini recipe album. :-)

Decorated School Note Book

Hi Everyone! Michelle here with a easy idea you can do with a inexpensive school supply and some Robins Nest product!
Here I made this into a Summer journal, but you can personalize it for school or even work!

To get started you will need:
1 composition book
Black Glitter Swirl on White  (on Sale now all month!)
Red Glittered Journal Tag
Obsidian Diamond Dew Drops
Doily die-cut  from Gina's Designs
Cherry and Teal Color Shine by  Heidi Swapp
Krylon Gold Leafing pen
Gold Washi Tape
Paper plate, protected work surface, sponge, paper towels or napkins, scissors, adhesive.

Place your doily shape onto a paper plate and cover with the cherry red color.  Doily will be wet with color so place it between 2 sheets of paper napkins. Press down to absorb the extra color.
When the doily is dry enough to handle, cut it into 4 equal pie shapes.
Accent the lattice design of the doily with the gold leaf pen.
Next trace the notebook onto the Black Glitter Swirl paper. Cut out and spritz surface with the Teal color shine. Dab any extra ink with a sponge.
When the paper is dry to touch, glue to the cover of your notebook. Then add strips of the gold washi tape all around.
Next place the doilies at the corner with some glue and round cut the corners. Add your Diamond Dew Drops to the corners, place your journal tag in the center and get ready to write!

Lots to Share Today from Ro!

Oh boy, have I been busy!  Those of you who are regular readers of my posts know how often I update, rearrange and reorganize my craft space (newbies can see my posts here). Well...whoops I did it again!  I had some rebates to use so I bought myself a new desk chair (bye-bye backaches!), a couple more cube units, and a computer desk (no more board-on-a-ledge!).  And with all that new stuff came the rearranging bug.  Out with the hutch (which I liked but was not really practical and didn't provide very much storage for it's size) and so-long to the short bookcase.  I have to say I'm loving the new look and feel.  It's bright (thanks to the ugly lights my hubby rigged for me) and clean and cheerful.  Here is one of my goofy little videos giving you a quick view of my updated digs:

And since my room is again my happy place, I have been feeling very creative...which is good since I have a LOT of projects to get done.  Besides the Design Team commitments (The Robins Nest and Fantabulous Cricut), I have several things I am working on for my niece's wedding on September 14th.  They are all projects of love though, so I am happy to be busy!

I have two cards to share with you today using the gorgeous glittery Classic Glitter Swirl cardstock from The Robins Nest.

Tunnel Card with Classic Glitter Swirl

Hello again, Robin's Nest fans, and welcome back.  I am so glad you stopped by today because the Robin's Nest Design Team continues to showcase the beautiful Classic Glitter Swirl papers this month.  I have been making cards for almost two decades now, so I have a plethora of card ideas stored away in the recesses of my mind.  I have always been extra fond of interactive cards, cards with different types of folds, dimensional cards, moving cards, etc.  So, I want to share with you a fun card that really is easy to make, but looks like you spent days working on it.   It is often referred to as a tunnel card, and here is my finished piece, inside and out.

Less is MORE

Warm hello to everyone out there! Genevive checking in from the sunny Singapore :) I just turned 39 yesterday and although it's a different day already, I still feel the birthday vibe... and these cards I'm going to share with you speak volumes of how I want to do right this moment..  feeling so blessed so I want to give everyone  some BIG BIG HUGS!

When I got these Classic Glitter Swirls papers to be featured for August, I knew right away that I had to make them the star of my project (sorry dewdrops, you have always been my favourite but for now, it's the glitter paper's time to shine!) and what better way to make it be the center of attention than by using no other supplies but just these...

Wake Up!

Wake Up!

This picture is of me and my mom.  Every morning I’d have to get up and get her out of bed.  At this stage of her Alzheimer’s she was always cheerful and happy, but she couldn’t get herself up.  I’m not much of a morning person, to say the least.  So, a time or two, I’d just crawl in bed next to her and we’d hang out in her bed for a while.

Thank you for taking a look at my layout.  Keep coming back for more ideas using the Classic Glitter Swirl line this month!

Pretty in Pink Girly Tag

 Hi Everyone!
This week for The Robins nest, I  thought I'd make up a pretty in pink girly tag.  Something quick and easy you can make up for yourself or give to a friend!
You will need:
White Glitter Swirl (20% off all month!)
Hyacynth Dew drops
Doily  and Dress form chipboards from Gina's Designs
Sea Breeze and Caramel Latte Smooch Spritz from Clear Snap
Aqua Old Rose  and Frost White Cats Eye ink pad by Clear snap
Gold and silver glitter glue, pink tulle, pink pom pom trim, clear drying adhesive, scissors, protected work surface and foam tape.

Begin by cutting your white glitter swirl to a tag shape. Spritz it with the sea breeze smooch as shown and wipe off excess ink. Go over any white spots on the tag with the aqua ink pad.
Set aside to dry. Refrain from going over tag with a heat gun as this will cause your color to fade and tag to warp.

Mermaid Glitter Swirl Card

Aloha guys! Cely here with my second August post for the Robin's Nest!

As promised from my video two weeks ago, I made a card using the Iridescent Blue Glitter Swirl paper! Enjoy!

I used these Robin's Nest products in my projects:

See you for my next Robin's Nest DT video in 2 weeks! :)

Becca Ann

Becca Ann

There is not a thing more fun than to take pictures of your family.

While our 9 grandchildren were here for 2 weeks this summer,
We spent some fun hours dressing up
and taking photos.

I can't wait to get these photos back
from the printer and start making
pages with them.

This picture is Becca Ann about 5 years ago/
She just had her 9th birthday last week,
So we will celebrate her this post/

I really wanted a page simple yet elegant.
I love to use our Staple papers when I am in the mood for this.

Just for fun
I went pink and brown.

I used
Classic Glitter Swirl in brown. (It comes in 11 colors)
Glitter Daisy/Stripe in gold with pink glitter
(it comes in 6 colors) the stripe is the back side of this paper
Brown Cardstock
Glitter Princess Crown CS
Pink stripe is the back side of Princess Crown
Daughter Sticker
Metallic Pink Dew Drops
Corrugated Brown box
Princess Clippies
Pink letters from my scrapbook stash

I just drew on the paper with the tip of the glue bottle the swirls
then placed the dew drops on the swirls

The glitter flowers are cut from the
Glitter Gold Daisy/Stripe CS
then adhered to the corrugated box cut from a spellbinders die

I so love the dimension that the dew drops give
to the page.
You can make any shape with them, because you are not limited.
Just draw with the tip of your glue, and
slide the dew drops on!
That simple.

Remember,
you can purchase these products on our website

Have a great day,

Hugs,

Robin

Glitter Swirl stands on its own!

This month, Glitter Swirl, in all its shades, is 20% off at The Robin's Nest.  As I was starting my cards, my friend  admiringly said "This paper speaks for itself."  So..with that, I kept the cards simple so you, too, could admire the glitz swirl of Glitter Swirl Cardstock!

OPEN ME!

"Open Me" is an altered frame from the thrift store. When I am not creating in my studio you will find me on the hunt.  I love to frequent thrift stores, garage sales and auctions, looking for items that can be up-cycled, like this frame (cost $1.00).

The frame was altered using products from The Robin's Nest and Clearsnap.  The featured paper this month is the Robin's  Nest Classic Swirl paper.   All the papers in the Classic Glitter Swirl collection are on sale this month - 20% off!
