Scooter Rides with Grandpa

Scooter Rides with Grandpa

Hi all,

Happy Easter!  I hope today is warm and fun for all of you at the very special day.  One of the most favorite things the grand kids love to do is ride on our little vespa with grandpa.  I'm pretty sure on Saturday this will be one of those begged items on the list from the girls.

On this fun page, I used the Ivy Trim CS, purple and green cs.  Glitter green journaling tag, and jade diamond drops from the fall gems bottle.  Other embellishments are from my personal stash in the scrapbook room.
I used the green diamond drops to accentuate the ivy leaves, adding between 2 and 3 diamonds per leaf.  I only did this at the top edge of the page.
I also added the diamond drops to be the leaves of these flowers, and the wet drop look of the crumpled leaves punched from green cardstock.

Hope you have a great Easter, and you find fun things to do with your family to bring great memories to your day.

Ciao,

Robin

Not your normal Easter Eggs

So as you can see, these are not your normal Easter eggs! I wanted to try something different this year. Black is pretty different and you don't see many of them at stores.
I started by gathering plastic eggs that snap shut well.
I placed these outside in a newspaper lined box.

Snap, Crackle, Pop!

For my last Robin's Nest project, I used the pink crackle paper (link below), but I decided to go a different direction this time.  I also mentioned in that post that you could use the crackle paper for a barbed wire look; so . . . that's just what I did!

In this project I used these Robin's Nest products:

Hop to it!!

Colors, textures, ribbon and bling...

Just perfect to make your Easter Card sing!

Here I cut out an egg shape out of a piece of card stock.
Then, I layered crackle card stock from The Robin's Nest in behind the egg window.
I cut two layers of grass out of Copper Glitter Butterflies paper. One side is purple with copper. The other is this gorgeous green.  Mini Neon Dew Drops glitter here and there.
Olive You Rumple Ribbon from Lovebug Creations help tie it all together!

There are only a few days left to fill your crafty Easter basket up with Crackle Papers and Mini Neon Dew Drops at 20% off!  Remember too, the Robin's Nest Easter Egg Contest ends soon.

I LOVE YOU

Good morning! It's the last Monday of the month :) it's my turn again! Before I proceed, I would like to say thank you for your sweet comments in my post last month,  Colorful Raindrops. I hope you will enjoy this layout I have made for you just the same :)

How do you usually start making your projects?

For me, to be able to start creating, I think of a "challenge" to  push me... especially when the mojo isn't  there... So for this, I kind of asked myself to:

1. Create a BOY layout using the feminine (because of the glitters!) crackle cardstock, assigned to me this month. Boy layout means NO FLOWERS.
2. Use this faulty printout in a layout. In printing (done a few weeks back for another project) I forgot to check "size" so I actually printed an A4 photo using 4R paper... thus, the half-face photo. Somehow, I felt I can still salvage it, so I didn't throw it!

I have made a short video (6 seconds!) in vine of how I did the first part of my layout .. the materials, the misting and how I tried to arrange the mini dewdrops... click HERE to see the vine video and maybe we can follow each other there? It's fun! :)

Now for the close ups...

... one way to make a masculine layout is using robots, bar codes (that bar code is so cute it says "boys will be boys") gears, buttons, jute ... these boy-themed details balance the "prettiness" of the dew drops and glittered cardstocks and stickers.

... look at that! I love that I can still use GLITTERS for my son's layout. Because I don't have a baby girl.. and I love glitters. If there's a will, there's a way. Haha!

... the glitter cardstock frame strip gave that photo a "finished" look. Who would think it was printed wrongly? :)

Please check out the website for more beautiful products from The Robin's Nest. Here are the supplies I used in this layout:

Hope you enjoyed my post.. I will see you again soon... Have a blessed Lenten Season and advance happy Easter!

Love,

Happy Everything Altered Toilet Paper Roll Treat Holders

Hi everyone! It's me Tonya back again to share some crafty goodness this month on the Chattering Robin's blog. It has been one whirlwind of a month for me. I got married on the 13th and I guess with all the running and trying to get everything ready I wore myself down. Thus I wound up with a stomach virus the day after I got married and when we got back in town I got a terrible head cold. I am just now starting to feel better and getting back into the swing of things.
This month in the Robin's Nest store they have their Crackle Glitter cardstock and Neon Dew Drops on sale for 20% off. Also the Robin's Nest is teaming up with Epiphany Crafts this month. I got to to try the Scalloped Circle punch out on all the projects I created.
When I first seen the Crackle Glitter cardstock my mind was thinking on all the possible things I could create for Spring and Easter and I wanted something that could hold treats. I came up with this cute little toilet paper roll treat holder which was so easy and quick to make. Then I started envisioning different holidays I could create using toilet paper rolls and I came up with a USA/4th of July and a Fall/Thanksgiving theme also.

Easter Fill in the Blanks

I am always amazed by the Easter story and think this holiday and it's memories deserve a special page.  So, I started with special paper, special embellishments and a Cricut cut to make this Easter page.  I cut the circular widow with the Paper Lace Cartridge in black card stock.  I used The Robin's Nest Crackle Glitter Card stock in Orange, Blue and Pink and a bit of purple card stock to for the window panes.  To get the stain glassed look I used, liquid glass on top of the Crackle Glitter Card stock and put a few Neon Dew Drops on the window panes.  Here's a tip for cutting all those colored window panes:  cut circles and place behind the window panes.  You will need to notch how the pink and blue circles to show the purple and orange details, but this is so quick and easy compared to cutting each window pane!

The title is made with the Stampin' Up banner punch, Close to My Heart Egg stamps and white letters from The Robin's Nest.  I used mini Neon dew drops between the banner pennants.  For the bottom corner detail, I used a Stampin' Up stamp,  the Epiphany Crafts flower punch with matching bubble caps.  And I used their Flower 25 punch and matching Clear Flower Shape Bubbles.
I originally had only one banner, but thought the page too empty.  So, I added a second banner in a smaller scale using a Martha Stewart punch.  I cut each scalloped circle in half and strung them together.  Here is my before photo.
I also wanted to fill the blank space in the bottom left hand corner.  So, I stamped a swirl and added flowers.  To create the flowers at the bottom right of the photo mat.  For the center of the flowers, I used The Robin's Nest Neon Mini Dew Drops.  I love these mini dew drops for flower centers!  I fussy cut The Glitter Leaf card stock for the green leaves.

 Hi Everyone!
I wanted to show you what I have further done with last weeks "Faberge Easter egg cards".
I decided to make more of them. 18 to be exact, for friends and family.
Clearly you can see I accented them way more than the original post.

I really love all the vibrant and cheerful colors of the dew drops and how they pair well with
The Robins Nest Easter and Crackle line!

Neon Easter

Hi Everyone,

We are delighted this month to share ideas using Neon Crackle CardstockMini Dew Drops, and goodies from Epiphany, this month's partner.  With Neon Crackle Cardstock, you will achieve lovely projects for all occasions.  Both my postings feature Easter, as it's that time of year, but this cardstock is perfect for creating sweetheart, friend, and all-occasion cards - especially with all the bright colors, the sky's the limit!  Of course, Neon Crackle Cardstock coordinates well with Neon Mini Dew Drops, adding even more value to your project.

I recently changed jobs and have been participating in store set-up for the past couple weeks ... then sent out of town for additional training.  My cushy life of having five-day weekends has ended.  So when I was thinking about a card design for this week, I could relate to all of you who have crazy lives with careers, family, and other countless responsibilities that take you away from making fancy cards.  So I thought I'd share an incredibly easy Easter card - taking advantage of Robin's Nest elegant supplies in Neon Crackle Cardstock and Mini Dew Drops

Supplies Used to Complete this card
I first folded a piece of Pink Crackle Glitter Cardstock in half.  Using an egg template sized to fit a standard envelope, I traced the image on the back of the cardstock (leaving a bit of the folded edge at the left) and cut by hand. I used Word to create an Easter Sentiment and sized that to be 1" to fit in the Epiphany Round 25 charm.

I punched Doily Lace Borders out of Blue Crackle Glitter Cardstock.  The double border is created by gluing two borders edge to edge on the Easter egg.  I covered the "seam" with thin craft tape and covered that with Mini Dew Drops (pink at top and bottom, blue in the middle).

I finished the card off by inserting the Easter sentiment in the Epiphany charm...and adding a white tulle bow.  Quick and Easy!!!

Be sure to visit The Robin's Nest all month for creative inspiration from our great design team using Neon Crackle Cardstock, Mini Dew Drops, and goodies from our partner, Epiphany!  Remember, all colors of Neon Crackle Cardstock are being featured this month and are 20% Off.

Easter Fun at our House

Easter 2012

We always do fun projects with the grandkids at Easter.  Last year we decorated cookies, colored eggs, had an Easter egg hunt, and just had fun together!  I love after we are done making pages to remember these fun days together.

This last year was the first year Kadence really was able to color her own eggs.  She is 2 1/2 here, and holding an egg on a spoon is a challenge.  I love the way her hand is slightly over her mouth, and looking at her cups of colored water as she is working on her eggs.
I used Glitter Spring Stripe, Bunny Stripe, Glitter Kiwi Sorbet, Plum Fleur, Teal Giraffe paper/cardstock.  I also used purple hair and mm dew drops and a large dew drop, and Spring Sticker.
This layout is Aliyah hunting for eggs in our backyard.  I'm so glad that the girls were wearing dresses while they hunted for eggs, they just look so elegant with dresses on.
I used Glitter swirl egg, Viva La France, and Celebration Swirl (back side), and Celebration Swirl papers/cardstock for this layout.  I also used Spring sticker, Viva rub-on, metallic pink dew drops and large dew drops.  The banners were punched from the back of the Viva La France CS with an Epiphany Banner Paper Punch.

All these papers can be found in the Girls Products, and Holiday Products.

I hope your Easter is as fun as ours.  We love to celebrate with our family.

Ciao,

Robin

Photo frame Epiphany style

Good morning, Brenda here and welcome to another fun filled craft
project with the Robin's Nest.

The one thing I love the best of being a designer at the Robin's Nest is I get to try products I don't know I'd buy or maybe know of.  This month Robin's Nest has teamed up with Epiphany.  I had never heard of this company until I teamed up with Robin's Nest.   Yes, I know, where have I been?  In my box of goodies I received this punch and some framed metal charms.  Can we say "awesome".  Now I do allot of jewelry pieces and that's what came to mind at first but then I went into a total different direction after playing a bit.
Here is the punch and the metal frames.  So cool!

Then I gathered my papers and the mini dew drops for the project.  I love this crackled paper.  It has so much dimension and I just love dimension.
Using my cricut I cut out my letters from chipboard and the papers.
I actually cut the letters 2 times from the chipboard and Mod Podged them together to give them more stability and a thicker bond.

This month the dt team are creating with
the crackling glittered papers and the mini neon dew drops!

The dew drops are so fun and so many colors to choose from! I used the neon mini dew drops
on the Easter egg and on the flowers!
For the background paper I used the Pink Crackle paper and for the pink flower below.
I added the Purple crackle paper to frame the pictures, and for the two purple flowers.
For the fun paper feathers I used the Blue crackle paper! I hand cut the feathers and use
a die cut folder for the flowers! The leaves I used a die cut folder and the Black Starfish paper.
For the two stickers I used the Easter sticker collection. I used the Bunny Stripe paper for the border and for the grass border strip near the center of the LO!
Don't you just love the colors of the crackling papers! They are so much prettier in person!
They will be on sale until the end of March!

The dt team teamed up with Epiphany Crafts this month! I received the amazing scalloped Circle 25!

and the other flower center I used the orange crackle paper for the center.

Thank you for visiting TRN blog today!

Dino Loves Epiphany Crafts

Welcome to another great post were The Robin's Nest meets Epiphany Crafts.
Supplies:
Epiphany Crafts Square Punch and Epoxies
Twine
Stamp
Black Ink
Black Marker

The mini neon dew drops makes great Dino spots.
I applied the rub-on to the cardstock and easily made it into an epoxy embellishment with Epiphany's tool. To make look more like a fossil I colored the edges with a marker.

For the envelope seal I punched out the rub-on image with the Epiphany tool without the epoxy.
The crackle paper and mini dew drops are 20% off this month so be sure to stop by the store and stock up.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.
