An Easy Way to Create Bats for Halloween

Halloween is quickly approaching and I'm constantly looking for ideas to create handcrafted Halloween decorations. Things that will look great but are easy to create!

Hello everyone, Erika Taylor here today, with a Halloween Witch Hat I created using The Robins Nest Black DewDrops, feathers, roses and Wow Embossing Powder. I have used this technique before with DewDrops to create a Halloween Spider and some Christmas Ornaments. All you need to do, is cut out your desired shape, then adhere DewDrops using Helmar Gemstone glue. I think this is definitely my favorite thing to do with Dew Drops and once you try it, it will be yours too!!!

I added Dew Drops on both front and back of the bat to give it some serious weight. Here you can see the back of the one wing.

I added a few springs of glittered leaves and such to give this Witches Hat a little more flare.

Here is the entire hat filled with Purples, Silvers and Greens. The Ribbon is from May Arts and had that Halloween feel to it for sure!!!

Lastly, a close up of the bat itself. You could create a bunch of these and hang them around your foyer using fishing line. How fun would that be???

Thank you so much for stopping by the Chattering Robins blog today. I'd love to hear what Halloween or Fall decorations you have been creating or have always wanted to.
Until next time
Toodles
Erika Taylor
