Our Last Week Visiting With Scraps of Darkness

This is our last week featuring Scraps of Darkness and their talented designers.
Scraps of Darkness featured The Robins Nest papers in their beautiful August kit titled "Envy."

Let's meet the remaining designers on their wonderful team!

Renea Harrison

Renea started on this beautiful layout by edge punching the purple background Robins Nest paper. She used a get medium mixed with acrylic paint and stenciled the textured design onto the paper. Layers of cardstock were inked and distressed and edge punched. The edges of the photo were distressed and the title of the layout handwritten on the mirror! A chipboard corset was painted with Tattered Angels Glam, dipped in glimmer glass and then laced up with thread. The finishing touch was adding a distressed corner with tulle and mini roses tucked in for a vintage touch!

(Supplies: Pattern Paper- The Robins Nest, Flowers- Prima, Cardstock, Pink Paislee Mistables, Tattered Angels Glam, Glimmer Glass, Chipboard, Sizzix Die, Martha Stewart Punches)

Charlotte Jenkins

Charlotte started out cutting the Robins Nest Stencil Green paper down to 11x11. She then distressed and inked the edges. Further layers were created by cutting the papers down and layering into the design edges being distressed and inked. The doilies were were covered in gold embossing powder. A Pink Paislee Journal tag was added along with flowers, pin,  dragon fly and crystal flourish.

(Supplies: The Robins Nest- Green Stencil, Olive Fleur, Glitter Spa Journey Colorbox Pigment inks, Cardstock, Pink Paislee Mistables, Misc- dragonfly, crystal flourish, doilies, ribbon, flowers

Karen Zueger

Karen used a lot of layering and inking on this layout. The photo was taken in a Redwood Grove and she wanted to capture the fall season and earthy feel in her project.   The small chipboard trees were inked  and used the excess chipboard for some framing. A Tim Holtz Birds stamp was used on the clock face.  The moss and grapevines are from Karens yard  and she was able to incorporate them to lend  a feel of the forest.
( Supplies:Fleur Green Olive, Kaisercraft Chateause Collection, Dusty Attic "Small Trees"
Tim Holtz Distress Inks -- Crushed Olive & Vintage Photo, Tim Holtz Bird stamp, Petaloo Velvet Hydrangeas)
