Frogs

This adorable layout was made by Robin O'Crowley,
but I had to post it today because I need a
breath of something warm and fun!
We just shoved 16 inches of snow from last night!
I know, other people are shoveling more,
but shoveling is shoveling and it is still COLD!

So this warms my heart and makes me smile.
I hope that it makes you smile too!

My First Layout, Y'all !!!!!

Hi, Everyone!!!! This is Mary. I'm SO excited about being asked to join this wonderful blog. Isn't The Robin's Nest fantastic?!!! In this layout I used the Winter Retreat Swirl, Winter Retreat Snowflakes (and the plaid on the back), the Calamity Jane Stripes, as well as dark brown cardstock and cream cardstock. The snowflakes, swirl and the word "snow" were made using my Cricut machine. I used Cinnamon Stickles glitter glue on the snowflakes and swirl. And of course, I couldn't do a layout without those cute little Dew Drops!!! I used the metallic gold on the corners of the pictures and journaling. For the snow around the edges, I used Snow-Tex by Deco-Art. I'd never used it before, and I just love the look it gives the layout.

Well, just so y'all know, I'm from the South
, so be prepared for a lot of "southernisms"!!! I love family history, scrapbooking, cardmaking.....well, let's face it.....I just love paper.
See y'all next time.

December

What a wonderful time for snow covered trees!!
In this layout, we used our Snow Covered Tree paper and
our Christmas Words Paper. It is embellished with Red Glitter
Chipboard, Christmas Clippies, and Metallic Red Dew Drops.
We also used our Black Journaling and Pearl Diamonds
to make sweet snowflakes on the page.
All of the products are from The Robin's Nest.
Layout made by Robin O'Crowley.
Picture donated by our wonderful fellow scrappers,
Robyn and her husband.
Thanks for all the effort!

Santa Mosaic

Here is a wonderful mosaic that I think Chelsea loved the most. We gave it away as a prize, but thank goodness we had a picture of it to share! Chelsea took a picture off of the internet and put a piece of tracing paper over it. She then proceeded to lay down the diamonds colors in the areas that the colors were shaded. She used the embellie gellie which made movement of the dew drops very easy. Chelsea poured a strip of Helmar glue, then added the drops, then made another line of glue, then added another line. The actual picture had many other details, she just blurred the lines, and made the mosaic a mosaic. This project only took about an hour and a half, and lots of concentration..she sometimes wanders on the concentration part, but we love her anyway!

Great job Chelsea!! Thanks for sharing!!

Christmas Tree

We made these ornaments out of Styrofoam balls! We spray painted them red and glued Black, White, and Silver Dew drops to them!! It was so easy, and simple. This will be used as a centerpiece for our dinner table during the upcoming Christmas festivities! We also have adorable plates and napkin rings made out of black and white paper to match!
A special thanks to Chelsea for helping me out with all of this crazy madness!!

Dad

This is a wonderful picture of my dad!! We always get to hear the true reason for Christmas every year. Maybe he will call us this year and read it to us?? You never know. Robyn created this layout using Glitter Cindy Lou stripe, Glitter Red Chipboard, Christmas Dew Drops and her elegant journalism!
We should all journal!! It tells the rest of the story. I know, I know, a picture is worth a thousand words, but it means more when we share our story with it!!
